Supporting Our Community
Giving Back & Empowering Women
We are proud to support our patients and community members who advocate and raise awareness of endometriosis in the hopes of one day finding a cure. Organizations that provide resources for women in need should be recognized as essential cornerstones of the endometriosis community.

EndoFest 2019
EndoFest was a success! We joined Tara Hilton, Founder of The Yellow Cape, for their 5th annual event. Inspiring women shared their story to raise awareness for the 1 in 10 women affected by endometriosis. Miss New Castle County 2019, Selena Barnett, announced that her platform will be endometriosis awareness as she prepares for the upcoming Miss Delaware competition. Dr. McGuirk’s message was a testimony of her passion and devotion to her patients.

United Through ENDO Event 2018
Our St. Patrick’s Day was filled with inspiring women sharing their story to represent the 1 in 10 women affected by endometriosis. They have formed strong bonds through a diagnosis that often took years to obtain. Together they want to spread awareness aboutendometriosis in the hopes that other women won’t have to go through the same experiences they did. Dr. Barbara McGuirk’s message was a testimony of her passion and devotion to her patients. It’s time to end the silence because chronic pain is not normal.

Skating For Endometriosis Awareness
We participated in a special skating event on March 26, 2017, hosted by the Delaware Endo Community. At the event, patient advocate, Tara Hilton, launched her new nonprofit organization, The Yellow Cape! We were honored to participate as they recognized Dr. Barbara McGuirk for the nonprofit’s Medical Advisor role. The mission of The Yellow Cape is to change the way endometriosis affects our communities by providing education, support, and resources, with a primary focus on early detection.

Governer Jack Markell Declares March Endometriosis Awareness Month in Delaware
Tuesday, March 1, 2016 was a beautiful morning in Delaware City to kick off Endometriosis Awareness Month and Governor Jack Markell officially signed a proclamation declaring March Endometriosis Awareness Month in Delaware.

The Delaware EndoMarch is a grassroots organization that seeks to raise awareness of endometriosis in the State of Delaware. In 2015, 75 participants attended the first EndoMarch in Dover, Delaware during the month of March. At the event, guest speakers shared their journey with endometriosis, doctors from the Endometriosis & Pelvic Pain Center spoke about the need for increased awareness, and attendees marched to Dover’s Legislative Hall to thank the Delaware representatives who helped make Endometriosis Awareness Month an annual event in the state.
